Guest DickVitale
Actually it was Langrum (#32) that was fronting Perk and Bosh would help backside...Then if it did get inside it was the pesky guard #11 (Hopkins) that would make things difficult because he was soooo athletic...And Bosh was soooooo long....and Langrum was sooooo strong.... >...OK I am having flashbacks!! ....Perk scored 21 and had 12 rebounds, but the guard play was definitely the difference....We had way to many turnovers, and we played so well in the semi against Dunbar that year....(sigh) :'(.... 2qwik4u
so all you guys that are taking the bigs, let me ask you this question: You would start your team with Bill Russell OR Shaq OR Hakeem Olajuwon OR Kareem over Michael Jordan? now seriously..... That's not even the question!?!? You're changing the entire subject. Those are totally different players than the ones that were originally in the thread. You're question is more of a "duh" question than a good question, like the one that was first asked.

Everybody thinks Bosh dominated Perk and that is just not true.. There stats cancelled the other out. Perk had 21 pts, 12 rebs, 5 blocks; and Bosh had 25 pts., 10 rebs, and 7 blocks. But Bosh's plays did look prettier because he was so athletic! The guards won that game for Lincoln and loss it for Ozen!

You know, after that loss, I could not get one Ozen fan to agree with me that their guard play was lousy and that being one of the major reasons "they" lost. Guest DickVitale
Well that, and they were hungrier than us that night...We were the defending champs, fat cats, and they had been upset the year before by a dang good San Antonio Lanier team that we beat in the title game..They were on a mission, and refused to be denied... BLUEDOVE3
...AND THEY HAD BETTER GUARD PLAY....that night (grinding my teeth) Dick Jr, I saw the game. I said all along that year your guard play was suspect. They were good but not really quick & athletic when it came time for playoffs. Cream rises to the top.
