LCM21 Posted November 7, 2006 Report Posted November 7, 2006 I have to say for us girls that we will more than likely be REALLY good. im really confident in us this year. but vidor didnt win too many games last year. but i know for sure nederland will be in the top. more than likely png. and maybe lumberton. Im lookin' for it to be a good season. But the ten team district thing is gonna be a tough one.
reccosdog Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 On the girls side Nederland is the favorite, on the boys side should be an interesting year. Don't see any clear favorite. PN-G, Nederland, LC-M, Vidor & Lumberton should all challenge for the title. Nederland & PN-G have the edge with winning programs.
Bon_Mot Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Don't forget about Central. They've got everything coming back from a very skilled team.
Jsmity Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 WB defintatley by far has the best Girls squad in SETX.....
setxsoccer Posted November 13, 2006 Report Posted November 13, 2006 Don't forget about Central. They've got everything coming back from a very skilled team. Bon_Mot has been reading my posts
tigerband dad Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Silsbee has a group of freshman girls that have played rec. soccer for 6 or 7 years together. They dominated as a team. Let's see if they can keep it up for high school soccer.
Champion Posted November 14, 2006 Report Posted November 14, 2006 Silsbee has a group of freshman girls that have played rec. soccer for 6 or 7 years together. They dominated as a team. Let's see if they can keep it up for high school soccer. I wish these girls luck! Great group of young ladies. But they are in a tuff district. PNG-Lumberton-Nederland-LCM-HJ.
Jsmity Posted November 15, 2006 Report Posted November 15, 2006 I hope so... I dated a girl that played on Silsbees team last year.... and it was oh so hard to actually watch a game.... wow.... almost made me never want to play soccer again.... hopefully all the areas 3A teams can get better at soccer... fastest growing sport in the nation baby... woo hoo...
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I TELL YA WHOSE NOT GUNNA BE ANYWHERE CLOSE TO ANY ONE IN SOCCER AND THATS HJ
Jsmity Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 Not close to anyone like significantly better than teams... or worse???... your statement is pretty confusing... :?
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 AS IN THAT WE ARE GUNNA LOSE MISERABLLY...FROM WHAT IVE BEN TOLD OUR HEAD COACH IS THE GUY WHO MOWS OUR GRASS.
setxsoccer Posted December 1, 2006 Report Posted December 1, 2006 are you a player, student, dad, ? your disdain for the maintenance crew at HJ is apparent, like smity im just trying to figure out where you are getting your info from?
STiger85 Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 I agree with tigerband dad. This group of freshman girls in Silsbee will be good. I have been around them for 6 or 7 years and they have talent, they play with a lot of hart, they will never quit, but most of all they play very good as a team. I cant wait to see them on the field and mix with the older girls. Going to be great. This year may be tough on them, but the next few years look out.
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 WELL BUDDY IM A LIL OF EVERYTHING!
Jsmity Posted December 2, 2006 Report Posted December 2, 2006 Your a player, coach and a dad???... haha ... wow... thats pretty immpressive.. haha... But what your saying about HJ isnt all that big of news... I dont recall them ever being slightly better than decent(trying to be nice)...
BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted December 3, 2006 Report Posted December 3, 2006 Yes it is!!!....but our team i now it aint no where near the best but we sure arent the worst...which is kinda bad to say
jhssoccer Posted December 13, 2006 Report Posted December 13, 2006 What about jasper? We might actually win a game this year. might...
KFDM COOP Posted December 13, 2006 Author Report Posted December 13, 2006 What was ya'll record last year?
hj_hawk_60 Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 I'm an HJ Soccer player and our head coach is a real coach. Our assistant coach is a member of the maintanence crew at the school... but he knows more about soccer than any other coach at our school, and he plays in some kind of soccer league, and i hear is very good... Also, about the size of our program... we had 40 players originally come out for soccer, but several of them quit... i think we have around 30-35 left right now... not sure exactly... we aren't the best team in the district... but i think we've got potential to do pretty decent this year.... we have several returning seniors... and a few good sophmores and freshmen... so im expecting at least a decent season
t-time Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 HJ has good coaches this year, i like Jorge, but unless ya'll got some good freshmen; Alverez, West, and Flowers seem to be the only shining stars. Miles moved away and that crazy awesome defender Thomas goes to LCM where he doesn't play soccer. Tater may fill his place, but not likely.
