thatSOCCERplayer Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 the lcm battlin' bears took on the nederland bull dogs tonight as everyone knows.... and beat them in a shoot out, so much for everyones predictions huh?
thatSOCCERplayer Posted January 25, 2008 Author Report Posted January 25, 2008 shots scored by lcm in the shoot out were: craig leger, and scott karasik with the final shot to win it, ethan mckay kept nederland out, allowing only 1 goal past.
soccermom Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Congrats to the Bears and Coach Wedel!!! What was the final score???? I gotta say I do pull for the Bears when they are not playing the Pirates ;) ;)
setxplayer09 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Both teams played great tonight, LC-M led in shots but Nederland had their share. Neither team controlled the game. 1st half ended 1-1, and thats the way it stayed until the shootout. Both teams showed great sportsmanship. Great game guys, and good luck to both teams in district.
RonBurgundy68 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Congrats to Coach Wedel and the Bears! Proved everybody wrong, and I like I said in my prediction, I'm glad I'm wrong about the prediction itself... You can bet Bledsoe will have the Dogs ready for the rest of district play...
bullets13 Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 wow, nice result for LCM... congrats guys! i'm sure Nederland will have something to say about this one when ya'll meet again.
Bon_Mot Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Great game by both teams. That's what a classy, hard-fought match is all about: Playing tough - never dirty - respectful soccer. It was worth freezing my toes off. LC-M led in shots but Nederland had their share. Just wondering what your shot count was? Ours must have been off a little.
Newcastle Posted January 25, 2008 Report Posted January 25, 2008 Bon is right regarding shot count. I don't have my official count with me but I don't think we led in the shot category (I will watch film this weekend and total them up). My hat goes off to Coach Bledsoe and his boys. It was a great game, definitely worth freezing your toes off for. I'm not sure my boys completely understand yet that on paper this game is going to go down as a tie with us getting 2 points for a shoot out win and Nederland getting 1 for the loss. I am positive they understand that they played one tough opponent tonight and they respect Nederland now just as much as they did before the game started. Coach Bledsoe if that was round one, round two is going to be a barn burner!!! I would also like to add this comment. Both sets of parents were on my side of the field tonight, and lets face it the jr. high stands are lacking in the size department, and from what I could hear both LCM and Nederlands fans cheered with class. That does not always happen in the world of high school sports, kudos to all fans at the game.
VPsoccer15 Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 Wow... No more predictions from me!! Gratz to LCM for a great game! Sounds like district is going to be full of suprises this season lol.
sharkfutbol Posted January 26, 2008 Report Posted January 26, 2008 I agree with you VP15........ Going to be an interesting season again in district play....... With Vidor being a couple of minutes from winning and an unfortunate missed pk... Ozen takes png down to ten minute left before png scores... LcM laying low and knocking off teams one by one... Central nobody knows anything about.. .. looks like an exciting season...
emac08 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 looks like we'll find out how good central is on tuesday.
bullets13 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 looks like we'll find out how good central is on tuesday. good deal... i've been curious about that. everything over there is hush hush this year.
