Guest abovetherim
Nice article, and I'm glad a current McNeese State coach stated the same things I've stated for years. McNeese became a national power in FCS formerly DI-AA football the day Lamar University dropped theirs.

TheSportsDoctor
I wouldn't expect to beat out McNeese State the next few years on athletes but with the right leadership/coaching staff in time Lamar University could compete with any FCS school in this region for players. UNLV
LU, with a good coach, will beat McNeese by the 3rd year. UTSA and LU will dilute the talent pool significantly. McNeese will suffer big time in the long run.
