yodaddy Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I hated to hear about the situation that occurred between them and West-Orange Stark Friday. However, did this not occur in another game involving Silsbee and Orangefield in the play-offs several years ago? I do not think it was near as bad as the WOS incident though. I was wondering if there was a precedent set at Silsbee after that incident in regards to how they handle fighting. It will be interesting to see how they handle that this time around.
w518991 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 appropriate action was taken then based on the facts not speculation and i'm sure it will be this time. Twice in 5 years doesn't seem like a precedent.
AggiesAreWe Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 That was a girls game, right? I agree, that really doesn't take precedent but I think schools already have a policy in hand.
Cat22 Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 No it was the boys playoff game played at Ozen. It was not a big deal. Couple of players got tangled up, a punch was thrown, but the benches did not clear and no fans were involved. The refs and coaches got things under control quickly and the game went on without any further incidents!!
