Heated rivalries are what college sports is all about! And, we would like you to help us bring a little extra heat to the game by joining in our inaugural All Fired-Up Tailgate Cook-Off to be held on Saturday before the men's and women's games against archrival McNeese State University.

For only $75, your group or business will receive a space for tailgating, up to 15 tickets into the game, and an entry into the cook-off competition!!

The cook-off will be judged by a team of experts, including Big Rich Courville of Courville's Catering and Frank Messina of Messina/Debb's Liquors. Each entry will be judged on three requirements:

1. The Food...can be anything you want to cook, but it better be good!! And, please...please...leave the possum at home!!

2. The Atmosphere...play your music, share your spirit, and most of all show your pride!!

3. The Red...as with everything at Lamar, the more red the better!!

All registered teams will be allowed to set-up camp at 1:00pm with the tailgate to officially begin at 3:00pm. At 4:00pm, we ask that everyone (except the cooks) move inside to catch the Lady Cardinals duke it out against the Cowgirls. At 6:00pm, we'll take the festivities back outside and the judging will begin. Finally, at 7:00pm we'll ask that all competitors close-up shop and move into the arena for the Men's game. At halftime we'll announce the winners of the coveted All Fired-Up Trophy.
