Bobcat1 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Everyone in Orangefield is dying to know something!!
KFDMSX Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 HJ beat Silsbee 76-57. Coach called and said K. Bernson had 33 points in the win and Ang Green had 33pts in the loss.
Bobcat1 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Thought this one was going to be closer! Congrats HJ.
bullets13 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 yup, i thought HJ was going to win, but i thought it would be a nailbiter. didn't sound like green got much help tonight... great win, hawks!
hawkdad Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Congrats HJ. This was the best the HJ girls have looked since the first of the year. Hope it continues. KB was awesome. AG for Silsbee is a very special player. Good luck to both teams from here on out.
hjhawks Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 HJ was shorthanded too. Their starting center (Hall) was out due to illness.
hjhawks Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 By the way..... JDAD can now be called an honorary official after he corrected the officials on a jump ball call tonight! haha
Jdad Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Just trying to help the blind see. ;D ;D ;D ;D
whsalum Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 These girls can be dangerous if they get on a roll now.Congrats girls on a big win.
Cat22 Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 Just trying to help the blind see. ;D ;D ;D ;D LOL, we could have used you over at HF tonight!! Congrats Lady Hawks on the win!!
Guest bleed orange Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 I can see you doing that "Jdad" basketball is in your blood. ;D ;D ;D
Jdad Posted January 29, 2008 Report Posted January 29, 2008 And I need glasses to read and I saw that one. If I had the chance I could have helped a lot more. ;D ;D ;D
24 over par Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 does this leave these 2 tied for 2nd and if so will they play it off
Bobkat Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 HJ is now in 2nd place by themselves...Silsbee has lost 3 district games now, HJ only 2. This will be interesting to see how these remaining games play out. If Orangefield wins Friday against West Orange-Stark, they are the outright district champs but still have HJ to play next Tuesday. Does Coach Jost try to go undefeated in district play or does he rest some of his starters for the upcoming playoffs and also not risk injury in a game that really means nothing to Orangefield playoff wise? Now pride wise, the Orangefield girls are going to want to win this one bad. They have the chance to have an undefeated district record and they know that trying to accomplish that in HJ is going to be difficult to do, but these kids love those types of challenges. Guess we'll have to wait and see what happens...
PoppaBearstarr Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Congrats HJ I knew yall could do it. now lets finish District strong.
CoachKfan Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 There is no way Orangefied is coming to HJ and resting. Those kids are too competitive. So are the HJ kids. This should be a great game. Alot is at stake for HJ.......win this one and they go in in second. Looking down the road, that could be big. Everyone stepped up for the Lady Hawks tonight. The big girl was out with the flu and the Sutherland girl didn't practice Mon. due to a nagging injury(she has been playing all year with a broken bone behind her big toe)....the other kids REALLY stepped up big. Great win against a very good team and an awesome player in Ang Green.
jr1979 Posted January 30, 2008 Report Posted January 30, 2008 Good Luck to both teams on Tues. 02/05/08. I wish I could be there for this one, but We (Central) will hopefully be trying to win a district championship of our own.

I think it would be better to get them some experience if we need them in the play offs I mean look what happend last year. That would give HJ second place, so the latest we could meet them would be the regional finals. I'd much rather play Silsbee in the 3rd round, than HJ, but thats just me.
