jake94 Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 So how have the early season tourneys gone so far? Who has won on the varsity level? I have been out of town at tournaments the last few weekends and haven't heard much about local high school tennis. Any results, upsets, etc?
garsnare Posted January 31, 2008 Report Posted January 31, 2008 Tomorrow is the 1st varsity tournament of the year. Cathedral is hosting I think. Lamar is next week and Kelly after that. The Cathedral tournament should be pretty interesting in boys singles, all the champs and supers are playing except for Bug and Scott Carnley. Bug is recovering from an apendectomy and Warren doesn't start until next week. As tough as this week is, the Lamar tournament could be just nasty. Scott and Bug will both be back and my players from Foster High School in Richmond are coming over to play it. Foster has 5 champ boys, 2 more boys that were champs recently, a super girl and a champ girl.
