WOS95 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 im glad we are not in an 8-team district anymore. Â
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Bet Jasper's not happy with their new district! Just heard WOS' pre-district schedule is Nederland, LCM, K'ville, Jasper and Brookshire Royal. Heard several teams they asked said Hell no!!!
WOS95 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 who is brookshire royal and where are they located?
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Other side of Houston. They tried to get SEaly, Tatum, Giddings, Bay City, and a couple of others. Tatum is the one that said Hell, No!!! LOL
KFDM COOP Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 3A! They are in Wharton's District West of Houston.
WOS95 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 i wonder if it's home and home or are we going to meet at a neutral site. i got the feeling that coach hooks was going to make us travel one way or another. ;D Dan loves to travelÂ
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I bet we meet somewhere close to their school!!! LOL! It may very well be Deer Park. I hear Coach Hooks has been wanting to play there.
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Was wondering exactly what the realignment numbers were? Very curious to see if Highland Park stayed 4A or finally moved up!!!
Cardinal Supporter Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I like the new 6 team district. It didn't matter too much who the opponents are but more time to get ready for district competition is a + in my thinking. If teams can schedule tough enough teams in pre-district then they can be better by the time district starts. You can learn a lot more in 6 weeks of games and practice then you can in 4 weeks. I do not know who BC has on their new schedule but if anyone knows please post it here. For that matter I would like to see all 3a and 4a school schedules in the golden triangle area.
Cat22 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Bet Jasper's not happy with their new district! Just heard WOS' pre-district schedule is Nederland, LCM, K'ville, Jasper and Brookshire Royal. Heard several teams they asked said heck no!!! What happened to Bay City?
KFDM COOP Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 called and said no on Thursday.
Cat22 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Thoughts? I like the six team district better than the eight. Â Gives us smaller schools a better chance to get into the playoffs.
Cat22 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 called and said no on Thursday. That was a game that I looked forward to on WOS schedule. Guess they were tired of getting beat by a 3A school. ;D
OldTimer Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Brookeshire Royal bumps up to Katy I.S.D. directly to the west of Katy - The city of Katy is at the far west of the Katy I.S.D. and Brookeshire Royal is about 5 miles west of the city of Katy. When I went to Katy - in 1974 to 1978 - we actually used to play Brookeshire Royal in pre-season games.

j_dog Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Bet Jasper's not happy with their new district! ... Other than losing old rivals, it appears to be about the same difficulty to me. At least Jasper will be in six teams for football. But basketball and baseball will be something else, just as it has been these past two seasons. It is only the names that are changing.

That was a game that I looked forward to on WOS schedule. Guess they were tired of getting beat by a 3A school.  ;D I think I heard that Bay City's coach (that was only there for one year) left and the new coach didn't want to play WOS.
wos08 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 WOS will be undefeated in district for the next 10 years or so
ALLABOUTSTATE4BC09 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 WOS will be undefeated in district for the next 10 years or so maybe the next two..they still have to get over that Bridge City class of 2012 bump...Bridge City's freshman next year have been undefeated in football since 7th grade buddy..the grade above them isn't too bad either BC will be on top soon
