Bucof2010 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Dayton has historically dominated this district also havent they?
TradinUp BH Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Our district just got smacked in the face. I wouldn't call it lucky because I would rather Dayton and BH in our district. Both of them would've made this district probably one of the top $a districts in the state, but now we'rejust an average district.
bronco1 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 This bad for Livingston, not only do they have to drive 2 hours to every away game but, then get slapped around every week too.
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 One would have thought that they could have taken a couple of teams from another district, then make a new district, giving 19 & 20 4A fewer teams.
stangchain Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I read through the alignments in 4A and was surprised that some teams in Ft. Worth/Dallas have 10 teams. I guess Livingston traveling to the Golden Triangle is probably better than going to Brenham and Waller.
PURPLE 4EVER Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Dayton has historically dominated this district also havent they? Since about 1998 Dayton has historically dominated every district it's been in. Livingston may surprise some of the Beaumont area folks. Odds are they may be one of the top four teams.
WTB Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Livingston went 3 rounds deep last year and was physically very impressive looking.

This bad for Livingston, not only do they have to drive 2 hours to every away game but, then get slapped around every week too. I'm just curious on this. Livingston went 3 deep in the playoffs to be knocked out by Dayton last year. Is this really a weak team that won't compete for at least 3rd or 4th in district? Granted, this implies that Livingston is an easier opponent than Dayton (assuming no change in talent, teamwork & coaching). Bronco1, I assume you saw Livingston in the playoffs. Can you say that they really are that weak?
TradinUp BH Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Chewca, historically Livingston has been a very weak football team. 3 playoff appearances since they've been 4A in the last like 30 years. Yes I would say that they are a far drop from BH or Dayton. Sorry if your feelings are hurt, but I would like a team in our district that's tough year in and year out. They will add a strong baseball and soccer team to the district, but when you talk about football, they are weak. I'll give them thier one year wonder team. Is it too early for the trash talking to begin Oh well Welcome to the district Livingston
Chewca Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Scalp'em, No hard feelings. Not from Livingston. Just curious considering their last season. Never too early for trash talking. Always fun unless taken personally.

Manor and Houston Washington I believe. Not exactly powerhouses
Chewca Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 Too bad if that's the case. I like to see a tougher district so our local teams are prepared for a deeper run in the playoffs.
ozensfinest Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 19-4a Baytown Goose Creek Crosby Dayton Galena Park Forest Brook King Smiley Kingwood Park Barbers Hill well noone really isnt getting away from dayton because you'll to see them in the playoffs
j_dog Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 True, in past years, Livingston was weak in football. But in the past two years they have been pretty strong. It is way too soon to say or imply that they will not continue their present trend of being strong.
BMTSoulja1 Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I was told about Livingston for football. When they played Vidor, I was told they wern't very impressive at all.
BearWolf Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 they will be no problem for BMT and MC
KFDM COOP Posted February 1, 2008 Author Report Posted February 1, 2008 They made it to the 3rd round of the Playoffs.
mlwdayton Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 well wish we could stay and play here for the competition but for the gas prices I'm glad we are were we are at .as for livingston remember when we came to this district you were exspecting a weaker team just remember what this district did to dayton it tends to make you stronger than you were the year before due to the history of this district good luck to all in our former district to to those we have to meet in our new district
j_dog Posted February 1, 2008 Report Posted February 1, 2008 I was told about Livingston for football. When they played Vidor, I was told they wern't very impressive at all. i was impressed by their div I offensive and defensive lines. but i am impressed easily. > ;D
