KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 24-2A Hardin (7-2) East Chambers (7-2) Kountze (7-2) Deweyville (4-6) Anahuac (3-6) Warren (4-5) Buna (0-10)
whsalum Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Still a lot of basketball left to play to be talking about 3 way ties. ;) ;)I think Kountze beats EC at the Montagne for the #1 seed.At least thts what the crystal ball says.
ECBuc08 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 EC. They are playing really good basketball right now.
KHSAlum400 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Really crazy....All three teams have beaten each other..., but realistically I look for Hardin to drop another game and Kountze/EC to battle it out for the number 1 seed. Thats a great thing, that way Kountze can continue their streak of consecutive district championships.....13 and counting!
Guest A-TOWN Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 East Chambers vs Kountze for the #1 seed
24 over par Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 ec or kountze both have showed flashes of really good play lately
MWhizzie Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Kountze all the way and will repeat as hj will to towns in basketball who just dont lose in playoff atmosphere and oh Yeah Domingo destroy Ec when yall play them at lamar.
TopDawG52 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 they should go by most points scored.. I think Kountze would get the 1st seed. They've only put up 100 twice but should do it again when they play Buna at home. and have been averaging about around 80 a game..
CATMAN Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 It will be a 3 way tie when dist is over. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Bucof2010 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 who in this district do yall expect to beat hardin if it isnt e.c. or kountze?
KHSAlum400 Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 who in this district do yall expect to beat hardin if it isnt e.c. or kountze? This is their remaining schedule: 2/5Ā Ā @ Warren; 61-57 win first meeting 2/8Ā Ā Anahuac; 60-57 win first meeting 2/12Ā Deweyville; 83-74 win in 2OT first meeting It came down to the last minutes for Hardin to beat each of these teams in their first games. Warren is a hard place to win, and Anahuac is no pushover. I think they drop the game on the road against Warren Tuesday.

Right...And EC will be shooting for their 3rd championship in 4 years...In the SAME district...
Guest larry mcgee Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 kountze and east chambers same scenario as last season
Guest nostradamus Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 a 3 way tie should result in a two night playoff and possibly 3 day playoff. It all depends on how the district minutes are written. Normally, since all 3 teams split point differential (or coin toss) will determine which team would get a bye.Ā The two losers in this process would more than likely play each other on Thursday night. The winner would play the bye team on Friday night.Ā If the bye team wins then the seeding is set.Ā If the team that won Thursday night is beats the bye team then the bye team would have to turn around and play the team that lost on Thursday night on Saturday to see who the #2 and #3 seeds are.

UT#1 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 ok kountze has won district 13 yrs in a row and ec has won 3 out of the last 4 yrs and they have been in the same district for the past what 3 yrs somethings not adding up?? unless i missed something
uknowit2 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 '05 they were co-champs with Kountze winning the playoff for the #1 seed. '06 Kountze won outright. '07 co-champs with EC winning the seeding game. '08 is yet to be determined.
bmtdc1996 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 So, what you are saying is there is an * in the record books for KountzeĀ ;D
uknowit2 Posted February 4, 2008 Report Posted February 4, 2008 Not at all. Kountze has the right to claim to be the district champion, even though it was shared. That's the way the district bylaws read. Plus they won the games in '05 and '07 that really mattered, the one in Tyler.
