Guest mffl Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Lamar is up 28-22 with 3:25 left in the first half. Tamara is back and has 7 points and 5 rebounds so far.
Guest mffl Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Wow... we are losing 42 to 37 right now with about 15 minutes to play. We better make some adjustments.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 We're down one at the present time.
Guest mffl Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 McNeese leads 51-44 with 12:30 left to play. They are 5-5 from the 3pt line in the second half
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Lord where is the defense? McNeese State is shooting 55% from the 3-pt line.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Hard to say. We were 5-0 coming into the game and McNeese had a losing record. Will be a upset if the Cowgirls win this game.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 McNeese has made 16 3-pt shots!!!! Unbelievable.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 McNeese beats the Lady Cardinals 81-74.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Funny thing is the young lady who scored 30 against Lamar wasn't offered a scholarship by the prior coaching staff and her sister played volleyball at LU. She is one heck of a ball player!
UNLV Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 16 uncontested 3 pts. What was Tidwell thinking? 81pts by a 4-12 team. One of the worst teams. A team missing a few players to the flu. Tidwell is the man, but this loss was his coaching. After the first half I would have played my defense around Ms 30 pts. 17 in the first half.
UNLV Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 at lady cards.. SHSU men lost to Texas st.
Guest coachacola Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Lamar has a young team so these upsets will happen. Looks like they were just hot from the outside tonight and that was the difference.
hjhawks Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Those 3's weren't uncontested. Most were with the shot clocl winging down and a hand in the face. LU just had some trouble with shot selection and had a few stretches were they went cold. Coach Tidwell did fine, they just lost... it happens sometimes... Give Mc Neese credit. They shot the ball extremely well!
UNLV Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 They lost, it happens is a loser mentality. I expect that from a fun family game of Monopoly. I trust Tidwell will correct the mistakes AND NOT SHRUG HIS SHOULDERS. 81 points is too many points to give up.
UNLV Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 Just want to be clear. I'm not calling you a loser. But it is a shrug your shoulder attitude.
weslinder Posted February 2, 2008 Report Posted February 2, 2008 McNeese was unconcious. Twice, Lamar defended 30 seconds, McNeese was forced to shoot a 35 foot contested shot, and they made it. Still if Brittany were her typical self, Lamar wins.
KFDM COOP Posted February 2, 2008 Author Report Posted February 2, 2008 > Still upset about this loss!!!
hjhawks Posted February 3, 2008 Report Posted February 3, 2008 it may be a shrug your shoulder attitude, but in sports, sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other team.... (The superbowl is a good example of this.) Mc Neese shot the ball extremely well from ALL over the floor. I said in my post that they had poor shot selection and still think that was why they lost. That is fixable. Playing good defense and forcing 22-24 foot contested shots and the other team hits them consistantly is very hard to fix... Losing doesn't make you a loser..... Failing to learn from a loss and losing due to the same thing makes you a loser...
