adminbaberuth Posted February 5, 2008 Author Report Posted February 5, 2008 Barbers Hill 7 Bay City 5 10 innings, rain has halted play. BH walks one in 9 innings, Hales and Thames lights out. Bay City has good squad. MLB in the house.
figureitout Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 you should get used to MLB in the house. lefty throwing 90 and righties right up there with him, that should be a common fixture at barbers hill games.

That's lefty throwing 90, 2 righties up there w/ him, and 1 lefty 85-88 w/ 4 pitches. ;D MLB will be seen often this year. Junior Alex Rocha pitched last inning and struck out the side. Good scrimmage. BH got alot accomplished against a good Bay City team. Will need overall hitting to improve.....which was expected. Sophmore Carter Smith nice job going 2-2 w/ an RBI...while filling one of the vacated outfield spots.
bringiton Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Did Orangefield get their scrimmage in ?
mammyj Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Jasper/Vidor scrimmage postponed to Thursday at 6pm in Vidor
OFBobcat Posted February 6, 2008 Report Posted February 6, 2008 Did Orangefield get their scrimmage in ? Yes they did, 9 innings, 6 pitchers threw and allowed 1 run; Pitching was about as expected, defense was ok and offense needs some more work; all in all about as expected for a first scrimmage. OF is young all the way around the diamond, with some more coming out after basketball. Next 2 scrimmages will be a good test, Vidor on Saturday and then Nederland next Tuesday. Coach Bennett has this program on the rise and good things will happen for them.

I believe he threw first and went 2 innings, had a little wildness but kept his composure and got out of some tight spots; he looked great behind the plate, though, was throwing rockets to 2nd base

sportsfan82 Posted February 7, 2008 Report Posted February 7, 2008 EC 7 Anahuac 4, looks like alot of jv players playing with the varsity, because of basketball on both teams.
