ozensfinest Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Who do you guys think have the best backcourt in SETX? I would go with ozen of course with breon johnson and decarlos frank
Icky3284 Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 Shannon Robinson and DK Howard is pretty dang good.
Master T Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 In district 21-3A Robinson, Howard, and Willis has to be the best guard combos ever.
ozensfinest Posted February 9, 2008 Author Report Posted February 9, 2008 In district 21-3A Robinson, Howard, and Willis has to be the best guard combos ever. better than decarlos, jacoby joesph and breon johnson??

Gabe Posted February 9, 2008 Report Posted February 9, 2008 From what I have seen and covered, Silsbee has the best guards I have seen in a very long time. Those guys are great
Guest LCM Volleyball Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 Ozen and Silsbee probably.
setxreporter Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 BREON JOHNSON......... he isnt even on the level of Robinson and Howard from Silsbee....
ozensfinest Posted February 10, 2008 Author Report Posted February 10, 2008 BREON JOHNSON......... he isnt even on the level of Robinson and Howard from Silsbee.... man are you serious.........?? lets not forget howard came from ozen and the reason he left is because he knew there was no way he was going to start over breon johnson..........you gotta be kidding me he started as a sophomore on a team that were state finalist and the best team in setx............
TopDawG52 Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 YES OZENFINEST IS RIGHT. BREON JOHNSON IS THE REAL DEAL. I THINK THE THING THAT MAKES HIM BETTER THAN HOWARD IS HIS ABILITY TO KNOW THE GAME, IVE SEEN HOWARD PLAY AND HE RELYS ON JUST PLAYING THE GAME, HE CAN'T SHOOT AS GOOD AS JOHNSON EITHER AND FROM THE FREETHROW LINE LETS NOT EVEN TALK ABOUT HOWARD, BUT BOTH PLAYERS ARE VERY GOOD AND WOULDN'T BE SURPRISED TO SEE BOTH OF THEM PLAYING AT THE NEXT LEVEL.
GOT HEART? WE DO Posted February 10, 2008 Report Posted February 10, 2008 DOMINIQUE BAILEY AND KWAME SPIKES OF JASPER

Guest DickVitale Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Ozensfinest, why are you arguing with them? That is by FAR the EASIEST question to answer on this board...Probably should not even be asked! :
team first Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 dugot and powell, I would take those 2, with one big to go along any day
ozensfinest Posted February 11, 2008 Author Report Posted February 11, 2008 dugot and powell, I would take those 2, with one big to go along any day lol at teamfirst thats why they barely making the playoffs huh??
team first Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 give dugot and powell willie j, and we will see what they would do.
Guest DickVitale Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 So..Give your grandma b---s, and she would be your grandpa!! What does that mean? The question asked for BEST BACKCOURT, anyway!! Geesh!
team first Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Ozens finest wanted to say some bs at my answer, and about them barely making the playoffs. So i responed. I will take dugot and powell all day. With the surrounding talent they have, they have done a hell of a job. Remember they only played in district, no preseason
AggiesAreWe Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 As most of you know, I am a Silsbee Tiger fan, but I am also the sites GOW broadcaster, so I have seen my share of backcourts this season. Even though I love the Howard-Robinson backcourt for the Tigers, I will have to give the edge to Johnson-Franks of Ozen, but just slightly. I like the size difference that the Ozen pair has over the Silsbee combo, '6"0 and '6"2 versus '5"9 and '5"6, and Franks has the wider range in shooting. As for heart and determination, Robinson is head and shoulders above them all. You can't go wrong with any of the pair.

It was Ozen's inside game that was the difference. Silsbee's backcourt actually outplayed Ozen's THAT night. I don't believe the classification means anything in regards to this.
shorttexas1 Posted February 12, 2008 Report Posted February 12, 2008 I have seen sislbee play and thier back court is nice, but Ive seen Ozen play and thier backcourt is crazy... no comp!
ozensfinest Posted February 13, 2008 Author Report Posted February 13, 2008 I have seen sislbee play and thier back court is nice, but Ive seen Ozen play and thier backcourt is crazy... no comp! exactly short
Guest DickVitale Posted February 13, 2008 Report Posted February 13, 2008 And I repeat myself once again...Why are you arguing that point, ozensfinest? This is the easiest question on the board to answer....Just think about it for a sec...The two guards I have in mind are starting on the area's best team...Have played big minutes in a state championship game as a freshman and sophomore respectively..AND will do it again REAL SOON.... ...Fill in the blanks!!
Dr_Hoops_08 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 So..Give your grandma b---s, and she would be your grandpa!! What does that mean? The question asked for BEST BACKCOURT, anyway!! Geesh! I have one word for this. PRICELESS :D
