KFDM COOP Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 kogt Work began Friday on the stripping of grass from the football field at McNeese State's Cowboy Stadium in preparation for the artificial turfing of the surface. A breaking of the ground ceremony for the new field will be held on Monday, February 18 the same day that construction of the artificial turf is expected to begin. Local businessman Robert Noland supplied the funds. McNeese interim athletic director Tommy McClelland said that the turf will be set aside for fans who wish to purchase a square for a souvenir. Contact the athletic department for more information.

Guest abovetherim Posted February 11, 2008 Report Posted February 11, 2008 Once the TSUS Board of Regents approve the student referendum passed at Lamar we'll be hearing and seeing a lot of improvements to Lamar athletic facilities, especially football.
