Gabe
Heard Nederland looked really good. OF pitched several different players and had a hard time in the field with errors.
Guest Bulldog
Heard Nederland looked really good. OF pitched several different players and had a hard time in the field with errors. Orangefields defense wasn't great but the offense sure looked like they were going to do well this year.
Bobkat
Orangefield has some kids still playing basketball and some injuries. Starting 3B has been out after getting hit in the eye/head area and 3 or 4 other key contributors still playing bball. Several sophmores are having to play till these kids get back, but they are gaining some great experience right now by playing. Orangefield is also very young...only 2 seniors on the team if I'm not mistaken. Several sophmores are starting on this team that could make some noise this year, but look for them to be really tough next year.

Base running could have been much better for PNG. Harrington looked great in the field and at the plate. His first bomb go out of the park in about 2 seconds. And welcome back Jerin Spikes, good first showing of the year on the mound last night. Woods and Sweetenham aslo pitched very well. HF did a good job of using the hit and run. Im not sure who pitched the 4th for HF, but despite giving up the home run to Harrington he looked pretty good.

EAGLE07
BH 10 Second Baptist 5 ..As I left, Second Baptist had one more at bat. BH did not throw the "big 4" and Second Baptist did not throw thier ace, Ross Seaton (Tulane). BH opens Tuesday @ home against Bay City w/ very excellent pitching staff and look to be very solid defensively @ every spot...Last 2 scrimmages BH hitting ball very well. This evening, Thamm (3-run HR), Ponder and Rocha w/ solo blasts. Second Baptist, Ross Seaton w/ HR. Second Baptist's facilities are second to none. Coach Rabb knows what he has with Anthony, and I am sure he wanted a final look at the others. Kelly opens at PNG on Tuesday.
