WOS87 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Posted February 14, 2008 Here's my useless trivia for the week... the 97 schools that have played in 3 U.I.L. State Championship games or more (this includes 6-man, 8-man and 11-man football from 1920-2007). Southeast Texas makes a fair showing with 6 teams making the list. Years in BOLD indicate championships Ch = Total # of Championships won Ru = Total # of times as Runnerup
PURPLE 4EVER Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Excellent job! I sure do like my purple and white's alma mater spot on this chart compared to the rest of the other schools east of Houston, #1 ! ! ! !
WOS87 Posted February 18, 2008 Author Report Posted February 18, 2008 PN-G fell to #2 in SE Texas on this one but very nice showing nonetheless! (and they're still #1 among schools that currently exist in SE Texas... ;D) State Championship years listed in BLUE Years finishing as a State Finalist are listed in RED Ch = Total # of State Championships won Ru = Total # of times losing in the State Finals Sm = Total # of times losing in the State Semifinals All-Time State Semifinal Appearances (aka All-Time Region Championships)
