Guest abovetherim Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 If these guy focus on UCA and come in with a 9 game winning streak there isn't any reason why the students, fan's, alumni, and supporters in the community don't come out. I have follow Lamar advidly since I was ten or a year older and I can't remember a 10 game winning streak in conference. I believe maybe one of Coach Fosters teams went unbeaten in conference. But that has to be a long time ago! I'll be talking to a few players tomorrow who I have in class and make sure they know we are happy for them but not to let the hunger for winning a conference championship lose focus by taking teams for granted like UCA. I honestly don't think they will since the game in Conway (remembered the city name weslinder) went into OT. Since I'm talking about UCA, let's get as many to the Montagne on Thursday as possible. This team deserves our support! By the way, I'm going to tell the players I have it class great job of winning but they really haven't accomplished anything yet. Let's get that regular season conference championship. Then follow it up with a SLC Tournament championship. The shock the nation and win a game in the NCAA tournament. THEN YOU CAN SAY YOU HAVE DONE SOMETHING. Until then take these last few game and play them like they are the last games you are even going to play in your life! Now, sorry for the rant. I'll get back on topic now. Go out and pick up a $1.00 ticket from KFDM and support LU on homecoming. Thanks KFDM!!!!!
