KFDM COOP Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 Pettitte to address media at 2 p.m. today Pitcher says in deposition his father got HGH from a trainer at gym NEW YORK — Andy Pettitte's father obtained the human growth hormone he supplied his son from a trainer who attended high school with the New York Yankees pitcher. Pettitte is set to address the media today at 2 p.m. to talk about the controversy. Kelly Blair, who owns a gym in Pasadena, Texas, was the source of the substance, the New York Daily News reported Sunday. Pettitte, who has admitted using HGH in 2004, told congressional attorneys that he received it from his father, Tom Pettitte, whose has had serious health problems. In his deposition, Pettitte said his father got the drugs from a trainer at a gym where he worked out but did not identify the trainer. The Daily News reported that Blair sold HGH and steroids to customers at 1-on-1 Elite Personal Fitness. Blair did not respond to the newspaper's requests for comment. Pettitte and Blair attended nearby Deer Park High School, east of Houston, at the same time; Blair was a football and track star. Pettitte's wife's brother married Blair's sister.

Guest JoesBros Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 At least he's being honest about everything.
KFDM COOP Posted February 18, 2008 Author Report Posted February 18, 2008 What's he saying? Link won't work on my firefox.
Guest JoesBros Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 He's basically apologizing. He's not answering any question about Clemens. He apologized to Yankees and Astros fans.
Guest abovetherim Posted February 18, 2008 Report Posted February 18, 2008 I have gained a lot more admiration for Pettitte. Now that is a man. He did the wrong thing but owned up to it. Took responsibility for it and apologized. Since like a believable guy to me and I would still vote for him for the HOF. Look at his postseason numbers. There aren't many who can match his success in October.
