I'm told some of the Thursday tournament schedule is being played. "I'm told "Westbrook/Wharton is being played or was played @ Wharton...talk about some traveling for the Bruins.

EAGLE07 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 BH vs. Lake Charles just starting @ 3:25. Still do not have the Westbrook score.
EAGLE07 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Bottom of the 1st.. BH 1 Barbe 0 Ross Hales w/ HR.
bh89-2 Posted February 22, 2008 Report Posted February 22, 2008 Word was BH jumped out to a 4-0 lead on Barbe and then the wheels fell off. A number of unearned runs a little pitching trouble and a few errors. Not a good game for BH with a loss 10-5. Thamn started on the bump and I think Kelly finished. Westbrook underway and at last call BH on top 5-0 or 4-0 in 2nd. Should be 4th or 5th by now. Last I heard Silva is pitching still. Ross Hales to pitch tomorrow and has not thrown today.

KFDM COOP Posted February 22, 2008 Author Report Posted February 22, 2008 Eagles baseball team 1-1 in tourney From sports staff reports Baytown Sun Published February 23, 2008 - Updated 38 minutes ago HOUSTON — Barbers Hill finished up a 1-1 day in the Houston Christian baseball tournament with a 7-2 win over Beaumont West Brook Friday night. The Eagles, 2-1 on the season, got a complete game pitching performance from Hunter Silva against the Class 5A Bruins and home runs from Tony Carmona (3 for 4) and Silva. Ross Hales and Clay Garner chipped in doubles as Barbers Hill scored in every inning but the fourth. Pitching was the Eagles’ Achilles heel in Friday’s opener as the Eagles wasted three home runs, blew a 5-2 lead in the final three innings and lost 10-5 to Lake Charles Barbe, another 5A team. Jonathan Kelley took the loss in relief of Kendall Thamm. “We didn’t play well at all the first game,†coach Gil Stalbaum said. “We didn’t pitch well. We didn’t play good defense. We walked eight, hit three and we made some errors. It was just ugly.†Hales homered for Barbers Hill in the first inning and teammate Alex Rocha went yard in the second frame. Jake Ponder’s fifth-inning blast gave the Eagles a 5-2 lead before Barbe rallied for four runs in both the fifth and sixth innings. Both Friday games were played at St. Pius High School and the Eagles return there today to wind up tournament play with a 4:30 game against St. Pius.
