mark
The Brook hit really well. Nederland was a little sloppy. Brook was a little rough at first defensively but settled down. Brook's starting pitching was in control. Nederland's starter looked to be pressing. He's probably better on another night. It was KKKKKKKKKKold. Guest WB42
18-4 WB wins WOW, there's a lesson in this for Big Ned. What's the lesson? A bad night. It's one game and not the end of the world. It's preseason and the coach appears to be still finalizing his bullpen as well as one or two other positions(catcher and right field). That's why you give some guys a chance. It didn't work tonight. Except for Stanley, Pitts, and Vidrine, the bats struggled. It happens.
B/G FAN
Hopefully, last night will open up some eyes. There's plenty of talent in that program if its used in the right way.

The lesson is , when you fill out your line-up card before tryouts your limiting your success, what was learned from the first Westbrook game, nothing, same results 95% same line -up card , Westbrook only won 10-4 in that one. Is that a pattern?
Guest WB42
DWC who do you want taken out of the lineup? I guess the coaches need to replace 95% of the lineup. ??? McFarland, Sampere, Broussard, and Stanley are proven players. Pitts, Vidrine, and Bellows have performed well so far. Richard played well Saturday and pitched well Tuesday. Dean is pitching great. You were touting Saturdays results but now ignore them to make your point. Who do you pull and who do you put in their place? The coach has to go with who he has confidence in and get them game time experience in preseason while giving other players a chance to compete. I would hate to have to try juggling it. Especially with Nederland's talent pool.

Especially with Nederland's talent pool. Competition at all positions builds your team, keeps everyone hungry.Players must be seen before decisions are made. Saturdays post talked about great pitching and an exceptional day at the plate, Defence was omitted on purpose.
Guest EDOWD
Games in February are not much more than scrimmages. When the time comes where teams aren't pitching everybody we will see who is best.
