KFDM COOP Posted February 29, 2008 Author Report Posted February 29, 2008 Port Neches-Groves boys 9, Hardin-Jefferson 0 NEDERLAND -- The return of senior Stephen Zimmerman is becoming a more and more welcome addition for the Indians who rolled past Hardin-Jefferson 9-0 on Friday night at Prather Field. Zimmerman scored a hat trick with one first-half goal and two more second-half goals as PN-G improved to 9-5-3 and 7-4-2 under coach Don Sandell. The Indians led at half 3-0 with goals from Zimmerman, Gerardo Valencia and Tanner Worley. Worley, Zimmerman's two goals and lone goals from Carlos Ortiz, Trevor Hoffpauir and Greg Flores completed the scoring as PN-G dominated shots on goal, 37-3. Ortiz and Matthew Morrell contributed two assists apiece for the winning Tribe.
