Spindletop

Fished Spindletop this morn., but pretty slow.  Caught 7, released 4 and had 1 big one break off.  The 3 I cleaned had not spawned yet (good).  Water temp 64 deg.  Still pretty cool.

1-2 more weeks should be much improved.

I'm guessing the fish are spawning well at spindletop now?

Went back last Sat.,  caught 14, (3 Slot fish) and kept 8 BIG bream.

Fishing a bit better, but not up to Spindletop standard yet.  Fish still had eggs in them.

Water temp 71 deg.

That is some prime flyfishing chances there.

Yep, 1 on every corner.

I went back again today... WINDY as all get out.  Only had 9 today.  Kept 2, and 16 bream....Man those are fun to catch!
