KFDM COOP Posted March 2, 2008 Report Share Posted March 2, 2008 UCLA, USC to be part of '09 College Classic field Baylor, Texas A&M also to join Rice, UH at Minute Maid next year The Houston College Classic will welcome a pair of Pac 10 teams to Minute Maid Park when the series returns in 2009. Southern Cal and UCLA will join Big 12 powers Baylor and Texas A&M, and perennial participants Rice and Houston for the ninth edition of college baseball's premier early-season event. The lineup was announced today. The Trojans and Bruins each will make their first appearances in the event. The only other Pac-10 school to appear in the Classic previously was Arizona State, who won two of three games in the 2007 tournament. The College Classic will be held Feb. 27-28 and March 1. sahen Posted March 21, 2008 Report Share Posted March 21, 2008 all texas big 12 teams do the college classic, but since there are 4 of them and they cant play each other in nonconference they can only go 2 at a time(well kinda true, texas and baylor played a nonconference game this year in october, i think its more of a they dont want to play each other in nonconfrence thing instead of they cant do it especially since they have to beat each other up in conference already, y do it in nonconference too...) anyway, one year baylor/a&m play in it and the next year texas/tech play in it...its been that way for a while now....
