BIGDADDYDAVEHJ Posted March 6, 2008 Report Posted March 6, 2008 Has anyone done any Saltwater fishing at all lately?
BucketSitR Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 Went on my first Bay fishing trip this past weekend. We tried several areas around Bolvar and hit the reefs Saturday without much luck. Just some Black Drum and Stingrays. Sunday we went out of Stingree and went to the grass and had more luck. No keepers but caught Flounder, Drum and some rat reds. Had a few kids with me so they got to feel the pull. Couldn't really make any sense out to the boat traffic, looked like everyone was hunting and pecking. I will go back though, hope sooner that later...
ottawa_senatorsfan_4life Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Has anyone done any Saltwater fishing at all lately? Personally i don't prefer the likes of all that sodium water fishin. now if youre looking for a thrill then let me suggest ice fishin..straight through a orifice..in the ice if you will. i used to catch 45' red belly snapper up in the old ottowa country when i was a young whipper snapper..yes sir ice fish'n ;D
tvc184 Posted March 23, 2008 Report Posted March 23, 2008 Not a whole lot of ice fishing going on in southeast Texas but if you can find some in the area, I would be willing to try it out. Until then, it is specks, reds, flounder, sharks..................
