Lamar State College-Port Arthur and Louisiana State University-Eunice both will be looking to break long losing streaks when their women’s softball teams meet Wednesday in Eunice for a non-conference doubleheader.

Lamar State, currently 1-11 overall and 0-4 in Region XIV play, did not play their scheduled home doubleheader last Friday against conference leader Galveston College because Martin Field was too wet. The Seahawks have lost their last nine games.

LSU-E is 3-18 overall and 0-4 in Louisiana-Mississippi Conference play. The Lady Bengals will be trying to break a 14-game losing streak that began Feb. 9 against Galveston College.

Lamar State will play home doubleheaders this weekend against Texarkana College on Saturday and Bossier Parish Community College on Sunday.

Saturday's games begin at 11 a.m., while Sunday's games start at 10 a.m.
