You are right this should be a great matchup.  I wish I could be there, but I must go support my pirates.  I think PNG at home will have more emotion and focus.  And will ride it to the win.

Png has a lot of pitching left.  I say take woods off the bench and let him get the job done.  He has played with alot of these guys, and knows what they like and dont like.  I've been impressed with his pitching, although he hasn't been out on the mound much.  I watched him in the scrimmages in beaumont, and the kid has a super strong arm. 

In babe ruth he was crushing the ball.  maybe just in a slump.  But I know the boys got tallant.

Woods is a good player. He missed out on playing time early because of grades I believe. Others got a chance to show what they could do and earned a spot. PNG has lots of good players sitting on the bench. Just has to wait for an opportunity and take advantage.

As far as i know, Spikes will be playing Friday

Harrington threw Tuesday not throwing Friday.  PNG has Todd, Sweetenham, Spikes, Beniot, Woods, Carnahan and more - take your pick!

Spikes was at practice today with an ankle brace.  Didn't look like it was bothering him.

Spikes can not twist without pain on his ankle.  Knowing him, he will suffer the pain to play baseball.

He went down hard last game. I hope he is not risking a more serious injury that could jeopardize his season.
