NedDog Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Funny, it wasn't that long ago that Gonzaga winning was considered a huge upset. How quickly times change.
TexasTerror Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I am not happy with either of these games nor the Butler vs USA game. Why were the top six mid-majors (arguably) playing each other?!?! Such garbage... (10) Davidson 82, (7) Gonzaga 76 (12) Western Kentucky 101, (5) Drake 99
Guest abovetherim Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 Agree, but there you go with the basketball guru's. They only want high majors in the tournament.

UNLV Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 Well at least the best mid majors can move on to try to knock the elites off. Too bad Belmont couldn't finish off duke.
Guest abovetherim Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 I can't understand why someone did not attempt to take a charge on Duke's final basket. Worse, you get called for blocking and then the guy has to make two FT's and there is more time on the clock for a shot at the other end. Duke made one more play. Guess that is why they are Duke. This Duke team will not make it pass the round of 16.
Guest abovetherim Posted March 22, 2008 Report Posted March 22, 2008 (7) West Virginia 73, (2) Duke 67 For a guy who doesn't know much about basketball it looks like I was right again. 8) Does this mean Coach Huggins is a better Coach than Coach K? Of course it doesn't mean anything near that. Are all the WV players turning pro after this season? Nope. I love the way people slate their opinion to fit their beliefs. BTW, A Caldwell and J. Davis turned pro after one year at Lamar. Caldwell went to the NBA and Davis is playing in Japan. Nuff said there. :D
