Guest 81sDad Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Great Job BH, I knew you could do it.. Sure you did and this was a very close game was 3-1 in the fifth. Was proud of Huffman tonight but have to go get Crosby on Friday. Good luck to BH rest of the way and hope your team Critter bets bombed rest of the way.

Guest 81sDad Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Hales hit the 91-93 tonight and has a wicked slider and curve. The Eagles remind me of the Braves pitching staff of old with all the arms they have. ???
EAGLE07 Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 Not a very pretty win for BH....but we will take it. Huffman has a very well coached and scrappy ball club. Ross Hales goes the distance...certainly wasn't one of Ross' better performances...but that is a testament to how much talent this kid has. BH loads the bases 2 different innings to only come away with one run each inning. Jake Ponder 2-run HR (4) Hunter Silva solo shot (5) Huffman SS , Jeff Schmidt, is a heck of a ball player.

Huffman's Sophmore pitcher is going to be pretty darn good. Huffman's coach has nads the size of watermelons, no doubt about that. Ross did have an off night, as does anyone who pitches. Even on an off night, he is still darn good. Hopefully our bats will pick up before post season. Good luck Huffman.

Socrates Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Can you guys elaborate on what Huffman's coach did to show "watermelons" for those of us who weren't there?
Guest etbu Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Can you guys elaborate on what Huffman's coach did to show "watermelons" for those of us who weren't there? What's the matter dumplings do you miss BH and Huffman slapping your teams around in 22-3-a? Not to worry bc Huffman will be back down here shortly to rain on your parade. ;D
Socrates Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Boy did you take that wrong. I just wanted to know about your game. Ease up. Check your pm.
EAGLE07 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Can you guys elaborate on what Huffman's coach did to show "watermelons" for those of us who weren't there? BH89-2 was stating that as a compliment. Huffman coach is not afraid to take risks in order to make things happen and score runs. Very scrappy team on offense. A few strategies were used that many coaches, being conservative, would not try. One example, from last year, Huffman scores on a suicide squeeze to beat BH 1-0.
falcolnfanatic Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Last year we beat you when we stole home we did not suicide squeez
Guest etbu Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Last year we beat you when we stole home we did not suicide squeez Whats it matter? We won the game and that was last year and this is a new year.
EAGLE07 Posted April 8, 2008 Report Posted April 8, 2008 Last year we beat you when we stole home we did not suicide squeez You are correct...it was a true steal instead of a suicide squeeze, my bad. Regardless the point remains the same...as far as the watermelon comment goes.
