Awesome story.  I had heard of Sandoval, but I didn't know much about him.  I just knew that he ran for Lamar and won a gold for Chile.  To understand how great he is, he ran a 4:11 Mile.  This year, 50 years later, Francis Kasagule won the Southland with a 4:14 Mile.

He must have been phenomenal! I really don't watch that much track and field but I'm sure I would have enjoyed watching him.
