Coach Ira Brooks, Silsbee Assistant

I just wanted to say how great a job Coach Brooks did this year with the Silsbee basketball team. Coach Brooks had to step in about halfway through the season and take over the " head " coaching duties when Coach Travis Williams went down with an illness. Coach Williams was there every game and every practice but due to his condition, he was " benched " during game time. Coach Brooks did an outstanding job coaching the Tigers in district and the playoffs all the way to Austin. It was definetly a team effort both on the court and on the sideline.

Coach Brooks you are to be commended for the job you did and it is greatly appreciated. Job well done.

You are absolutely correct AAW!  I'm honored to add my compliments to Coach Brooks and Coach Williams on their combined coaching job this season as well as complimenting the players for the positive way in which they handled the circumstances.

I know both coaches personally...and in my opinion. I believe that Coach Brook would've been a better pick as a head coach. Don't get me wrong it just Coach Brook being knowing these kids longer even when they were babies and was playng  little dribblers.
