All-American, 17, out of jail but facing charges

Recommended Posts

Who exactly on here has a video saw it happen or even knows sombody that saw it happen? I'm guessing nobody and yet theres plenty of posts on this thread about the situation none of them educated beyond what was in that article and still the kid is bashed for somthing he may or may not have had anything to do with? No where in the article does it quote him saying "I was there I was in the truck" no where is there a credible source saying he was there for all we know he wasnt there at all. Sure we can assume the article is telling the truth. We can assume that He really turned himself in. We can even assume he pulled the trigger that it was a 9 mm and that he seriously injured the lady because it was his gang initiation.

The last one was no more ridiculous than the things everyone else is assuming.

Buc, please read all the post. Human nature is  to speculate, it maks good debate and conversation. Not one person on this post has made up a scenerio. All that has been stated is if nothing else he was guilty by association. Have you watched a video, call the court house or read articles that are available? I think for the most part, we see talented young men that have so much going for them and then they make a poor choice and it becomes a hiccup on their life-long journey. That disappoints us, we want role models for ourselves, for our children.

Using common sense, this All Star player would not have been carted off to booking had he not either been in the midst of the event, a finger pointed at his involvement, or witnesses ratting him out that constituted a booking. Don't base your beliefs on CSI or another nighttime drama. More individuals are allowed to walk away from a scene due to no evidence showing they are a part.

You may feel my post is ignorant, but unless you are educated in the process of how this works, I would not throw stones. If this young man only was present when another committed an illegal act, he will be given the op. to give his statement and most likely that will be the end of that. Jails are too full to hold 17 year olds that don't belong there. The only time, generally, that he would continue in the system is if there are other circumstances unknown to us or a past brush with the law. Again, we can only speculate because the information is slowly being reported.

Dick......in answer to your post last evening, "a bug" was a very bad term I used. I apologize. Not my forte'. When I read your post, I often visualize that the poster your are bereting is a bug beneath your shoe that your are twisting, turning and stomping until they are completely without merit. Most often BECAUSE or so it seems they have a little different viewpoint than yours. It is very entertaining, but then we all have to remember that the person you have pounced on is a human being. You may not have this in you, but your post show a very angry, disappointed man that can't overcome the unfairness of whatever you have endured. I am a woman, I have endured more than I care to discuss - most all humans,  if they live long enough will be ignored, disrespected, dehumanized, prejudices brought against them at one point in their lives - some of us seem to get more than a double dose. Its how we overcome that carves out who we really are inside.  Does my softer method of posting make me a target for cynics. Sure, thats OK. But just remember and Dicky knows this, it takes all flavors, colors, and sizes to make this world a beautiful place. I promise you.

Guest DickVitale

How could I EVER argue with someone as nice as Hawks4Life? Yes, ma'am is all that I can say!  :D and I will pay more attention to what I respond to, and how I do it...I am an ELITIST and have an elitist attitude, especially when it comes to basketball related issues...Like I said, I will TRY to do it better...thanks...You are a VERY effective, and intelligent poster, and yes, I have been through a lot that I wont go into right now, but, I will try to turn the ship and not squash any bugs along the way... ;)
