They are a different team than they were in the first half. Allison threw strikes and let his defense play. Central had 2 errors. Ned: Kirby Bellow 5 2/3 innings 9 K's 4 hits;Josh Dean 1/3 inning 1 K 1HBP; Justin Richard 1/3 inning 1 K 1BB 1 hit; Ryan Sampere 1/3 inning 1 K. Adam Broussard 1 for 3 1 RBI; Jude Vidrine 1 for 3 2 RBI; Aaron McFarland 2 for 3; Reagan Stanley 2 for 3(2b&3b); Kirby Bellow 1 for 3. Central: Allison 6 innings 3 Ks 2 BB 6 hits Thomas 1 for 4; Fowler 1 for 4(2b); Allison 3 for 4 2 RBI; #15 2 for 3(both 2b).
KFDM COOP Posted April 8, 2008 Author Report Posted April 8, 2008 Dogs outlasts Jags in 22-4A baseball The Port Arthur News NEDERLAND — The Central Jaguars scored three runs with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Nederland Bulldogs a scare on Tuesday night. The Dogs’ Ryan Sampere came into close the game out and Nederland held on for a 5-4 victory. With the win, Nederland impvoes to 5-4 in District 22-4A and will travel to Port Neches to square off with the Indians on Friday night. That game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. Against Central, Nederland seemed to be in control having scored runs in the second fifth and sixth inning to take a 5-1 lead. The Jags did not score a run until the sixth inning when they managed one run to cut the score to 2-1. Nederland added three runs in the bottom of the sixth. Kirby Bellow picked up the win. He went 5.2 innings, struck out nine and allowed four hits. Reagan Stanley went 2-for-3 with a triple and a double for the Dogs. Aaron McFarland also went 2-for-3. He had two singles. No hit proved to be more important than Jude Vidrine’s single in the sixth inning. With two outs, Vidrine knocked in two runs. Central scored its three runs in the seventh off five walks and two hits.
Terrier Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 Round two with Indians Friday at the Reservation. Do or die for the Dogs. It is always an exciting game when these two get together. ;D
