Guest Wildcat 08 Posted August 22, 2006 Report Posted August 22, 2006 I would like to see the locals win as well but odds are low.
Guest Bridge City Card Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Na, both locals pull off big ones.
Coog4eva Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 For nostalgia's sake...it would be nice for Coogs coach to insert Kerlegan's younger brother into this contest....yes he has a younger brother who is a QB at LM and from what I hear he's pretty good.....although he will not start because the other QB has more experience.......it would be nice to see......
KFDM COOP Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 Welcome to the site Coog. I see you guys are loaded as usual..
Coog4eva Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 Thanks.....I was a little concerned about the team until I heard some good things about the scrimmage last Friday....of course you know or heard we can be a little critical of our Coogs at times...but I think this will be a good contest.....notables are the receivers.... the Coogs have a standout basketball player turned receiver who made some great catches and a speedy transfer from Converse Judson at receiver....the line is huge but the running game seemed shakey at times as well as the QB timing...but hey it was a scrimmage......Coogs have three good backs....and are running a spread option...ala WVU and UT......Oh I will keep my smack talk to a minimum...... http://texasprepxtra.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=576357
KFDM COOP Posted August 28, 2006 Author Report Posted August 28, 2006 You guys still happy with Coach Erwin?
Coog4eva Posted August 28, 2006 Report Posted August 28, 2006 No comment......well at least one....I was ok with him until he blew that Brenham game last year...by going to a prevent defense....after finally being able to contain the BHS QB.......)the kid was a straight pocket passer....not mobile at all).....he takes off the pressure....and look what happend.......hopefully my view may change this year...but I am always a Coog......
Guest 1motime Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 We are NEDERLAND BULLDOGS ---- wooosh !!!!!!!! The town is starting to rock. Go Dogs
WOS95 Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 We are NEDERLAND BULLDOGS ---- wooosh !!!!!!!!
TAMU85 Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Lamarque's defense has always been the showcase- Nederland probably won't score more than 7 points- It will be a low scoring affair but Lamarque will totally control the game- 21-7 Lamarque
Coog4eva Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006  Wow...I am a graduate of La Marque and that is the worst cheer a fan could have ever concocted.....LOL.....I can't help but laugh everytime I hear it........Please don't start that up at Big Ned........
Guest Living 4 Friday Nights Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 LaMarque should win but with Nederland you never know.
tvc184 Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Wow...I am a graduate of La Marque and that is the worst cheer a fan could have ever concocted.....LOL.....I can't help but laugh everytime I hear it........Please don't start that up at Big Ned........ Yep, it sounds bad when they do it and it would be worse if we did.
Coog4eva Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 Yep' date=' it sounds bad when they do it and it would be worse if we did.[/quote'] On that comment I must say agree........
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 29, 2006 Report Posted August 29, 2006 The question is here can NED stop the speed of LaMarque?
Guest Penny Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 The question when Nederland plays Lamarque has always been can the offensive line handle the speed of the defensive line... it sounds silly, but that's the truth. It's not the speed at the skill positions, it's the quickness and agility of their D-Line... IMO.
NedDog Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Good point. I remember when we opened the season at their field in 2002. It seemed like their defense was in our backfield as soon as the ball was snapped.
NHSBulldogFan Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Im not going to make predictions more of some things im going to look for...can we score more than 8 points and hold then to 4 touchdowns or less on La Marque...fact is we havent beaten La Marque in 50 years id certainly love for that to change friday night
Guest 1motime Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 I like the woosh cheer and the whole La Marque experience back at ya wos95  Good luck La Marque fans see ya there Nederland 20 La Marque 28
James Mosley Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 This is my final pick - Nederland 20 - LaMarque 13
Guest Kelly Football Posted August 30, 2006 Report Posted August 30, 2006 Well the time is almost here. Good luck Dogs!! Going to be tough but pull it out.
