Some thoughts about the Polls presented

Recommended Posts

THSBCA polls (4-17)

1.MEDINA VALLEY 26-1

2.CUERO 23-2-1

3.BRIDGE CITY 22-3

4.SINTON 20-5

5.KENNEDALE 18-1

6.SNYDER 22-5

7.LUFKIN HUDSON 19-6

8.HARDIN- JEFFERSON 17-6

9.ANDREWS 17-6

10.CARTHAGE 18-5

I read with interest how both Polls out there for 3A always keep three teams for Region IV in the top four places.  When one wanes they are replaced with another one from Region IV.

My personal opinion is that Bridge City, Hardin-Jefferson and Jasper could all beat any teams from Region IV.  It appears that the folks that live in a geographic region just tend to prop-up the teams that are around them.  Any thoughts?  I could put up a Poll but it would not look anything like the one being presented by Region IV folks.....LOL

Makes one wonder where the poll originators went to HS?    LOL

It does appear that way, but the 3aBaseball.com ranking is run by Tim Baugh, who lives in Midland.  Isn't that Region I?  I met Tim last year at Austin.  I think he has no axe to grind, is just calling it like he sees it.  Now, having said that, I agree with you.  I think our top district 21-3a teams could probably take any of them.  But somehow, for the moment they have the reputations.  If Region III can just beat them all a few more years ......    :)

you don't have to go to far back in history, just to last year.  Were I believe that Jasper did and  BC would have done the same, was to blast thru the state tournament like it was nothing.  I think I said it before its hard to compare teams that are in other regions, you just don't know how strong their districts are.

It really doesn't matter. BC's goal isn't to be the #1 team in April, its to be the last one standing when its all over in June. 8)

    • In a video released Monday, Raja Cholan, a top official at the U.S. National Library of Medicine under the NIH, admitted to an undercover OMG operative he doubts jab efficacy and hasn’t “gotten the latest COVID shots and I’m not going to.”  “I PROBABLY SHOULDN’T BE SAYING THIS OUT LOUD;” Chief Confesses COVID Health Initiatives Were "COMPLETELY MADE UP”. "I don’t even know if these vaccines stop you from getting COVID. They don’t.” Adds, "We're all going to learn [about vaccine safety] when it's too late," as Pfizer & Moderna "are just getting a bunch of money… Vaccines were accelerated through the approval.” ‘We fly under the radar of being scrutinized…I don't think I have too much to worry about.’ Trump victory “worse for the NIH.” “It would be better for a Democrat to be in office.” WOW!!!!
    • The same reason you worry about Trump more than anything else. Why do trolls like yourself start threads like your Soros hedge fund thread and you never come back to…..just bait. Newsom might make a run for president in 2028. People need to know about his policies. You don’t think that’s important?
    • I like Newton’s chances here. I’ve watched  videos of Daingerfield what few I could get. Their big Qb scares me a little he looks Ike a good athlete. I think for a change Newton has a little more speed than the Tigers. That Samuel kid for Newton can move., and it goes without saying about Porter. That Hunter kid ain’t bad either. They scared me to death with their pass defense against Edgewood until I saw the video. That Qb for Edgewood can put it on a dime. And, his receivers could catch it. I’m pumped; this is the most fun time of the year for me. Go Eagles.🦅 I have to add this though. I watched the State game between the tigers and Yoe in 2010. Those guys looked like grown men playing as opposed to kids now a days who look like boys.😂 that was a heck of a good game.
