i know im in the minority when it comes to the commisioners cup but i think it shows how far lamar has come with its athlletic program.i copied this from terror on katsfan.Unofficial Standings

Lamar has improved greatly in the track and field components in addition to VB and WBB over the last few years. To me, that's where the success lies for your athletic department.

SFA does not have women's golf while you guys do not have softball, which should cancel each other out. I think Lamar has won the Commish Cup this year if they don't fall off the back of the bus in the outdoor track and field components...

I have insisted that this doesn't mean anything really, and it really doesn't. However i just have a question, does the Athletic Department get some kind of trophy or award for this or just bragging rights?

not sure on the trophy but tubbs will be bragging all over town if lu wins it.

And he should.  I think the commish cup is a good measure of how well the AD is able to make the right hires.  That's not the only criteria for a good AD but one of the important ones.  But as far as fans like me, I don't really care that much.
