piratefan Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Who wins the Vidor vs. Lumberton game??? Remember Lumberton kids haven't lost a game in 6 years including little league!!!
piratefan Posted July 28, 2006 Author Report Posted July 28, 2006 Coop why you say L-Town has the edge??
piratefan Posted July 28, 2006 Author Report Posted July 28, 2006 Oh , Well since it's yalls homecoming let me go back and change my vote.. I should have looked at the schedule..
KFDM COOP Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 Coop why you say L-Town has the edge?? In votes!!
piratefan Posted July 28, 2006 Author Report Posted July 28, 2006 allright Coop I was just checking your loyalty
Guest Kelly Football Posted July 28, 2006 Report Posted July 28, 2006 This is a tough one to choose from.
piratefan Posted July 29, 2006 Author Report Posted July 29, 2006 It's going to be a slobber knocker!! A record crowd will be on hand..(atleast on the Vidor side) A couple years ago we had to go sit on the home side because there was no room on the visitors side..There was plenty on the Love ya Blue's side..Not alot on hand that night for the L-Town raiders!!
KFDM COOP Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 This Year it's in Lumberton. Their Visitor stands are fairly big from what i can remember.
Footballblue Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Not only will Lumberton win the game by two touch downs. The Field will be painted prettier than any in the area. For 2006 LR will also have a New Run through with smoke and all...sweet...I am glad we have not played at Vidors Home coming for some reason at half time there lights always go out? Vidor must not pay the light bill.
WOS92 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Lumberton didn't have a run-through yet? I thought they did. I have to admit that I think Vidor's is the coolest in the area.

WOS92 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Well, obviously they'll be playing with a significant "purty field" advantage.
piratefan Posted July 29, 2006 Author Report Posted July 29, 2006 That's nice that yall will have a pretty field..That's about all the excitement yall are going to have this year.. The reason why our lights go out is because we have a halftime performance for our fans..If Lumberton would ever have anyone turn out to there games maybe they could have a halftime performance also..Instead of a pretty painted field that will be the prettiest in the area!!! Whoo go L-Town!! "hold on baby"" "Look over your shoulders ,because Love ya blue is headed to town!!"
vp93 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Their fans(LR) probably would rather the lights be turned out during their game..
piratefan Posted July 29, 2006 Author Report Posted July 29, 2006 Gee Paw we have a run thru with smoke and everything!!! I believe there are some 1A schools that have that.. Welcome to the year 2006..!!
Bread Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 haha, as a senior/kicker for varsity this year, i find this interesting, btw when we turn our lights out, it is the best halftime show you'll ever see including the super bowl

Come on now! What would Jeff Foxworthy say? "You know your a Redneck (or from Vidor) if you think that your homecoming halftime is better than the Superbowl's!"
Bread Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 imagine how hard it is to memorize the routine in the dark!? i would quit after the first day
Champion Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 apparently youve never seen it in person Soccer kid come on now better than the "SUPER BOWL". Bar keep give me a double of what he is having!
Footballblue Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 OK, I was picking about the lights and all, I do enjoy the halftime show, it is cool. I have to say Vidor fans are real, win or lose the stands are always full. Lumberton fans need to take note.
WOS92 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 With no disrespect to Vidor, it's not a good sign for your program if you've repeatedly experienced Vidor's homecoming halftime. Teams generally schedule an easy win for homecoming. I don't doubt that the program in Lumberton can turn around. My point is that it will NOT be immediate. That doesn't count JV training, folks. Believe it or not, JV success is much less important than you think. WO-S has had some terrible JV teams and PLENTY of success at the varsity level. None of those "bad" JV teams had a bad year at varsity.
