Bread Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 well if you think that central or png isnt a good opponent for homecoming, then i dont know
vp93 Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 With no disrespect to Vidor' date=' it's not a good sign for your program if you've repeatedly experienced Vidor's homecoming halftime. Teams generally schedule an easy win for homecoming. I don't doubt that the program in Lumberton can turn around. My point is that it will NOT be immediate. That doesn't count JV training, folks. Believe it or not, JV success is much less important than you think. WO-S has had some terrible JV teams and PLENTY of success at the varsity level. None of those "bad" JV teams had a bad year at varsity.[/quote'] I totally agree. JV and Varsity are like night and day. Friday nights are whole different animal. Everything is stepped up at Varsity level. JV everyone just run the shell of their offenses and deffenses, simple schemes. You also do not scout JV games. I guess we will see.
KFDM COOP Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Well said. I think alot of people have seen Freshmen and JV teams go undefeated and then when Friday Nights roll around it's completely different.
Guest LCM Volleyball Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 Well our guys have worked hard under Coach Moody so don't count us out.
Footballblue Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 I don't think you can count anyone out of 22-4A this season, their are no weak links. Hit someone every play!
Guest bulldogbark Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 In the 70' our 7th 8th grades never got beat...being coached under Coach Williams......but then the same kids never got out of zone,, maybe once I believe.....

Hit someone every play![/quote'] At least all teams like to say that at the beginning of the season. It keeps things interesting at least until district play begins.
KFDM COOP Posted July 29, 2006 Report Posted July 29, 2006 The first year after Relignment is always the best. Everyone's anxious before the season with the new teams and Districts.
PirateTennis Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 We really arent joking when we say Our Homecoming is the best, Fireworks, Fireboards,Twirlers that twirl Fire, midgets in glow in the dark Paint lol lol
Bread Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 ahahahaaha why you have to bring the midgets into this?
Footballblue Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I thought I saw a midget on the Vidor team? or maybe it was the Brigadettes?
WOS92 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Now that you mention it, we always talk at the Lumberton/WO-S "games" about how the raiders always seem to have a "mini-me" type player. Seriously. Coincidence that it comes up in this thread
Footballblue Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 speed has more to do with a teams success than size in HS football, I have seen some very large teams that could contain the speed from a smaller team, Vidor is a case in point.

Outta_the_Box Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 Tie, both tunnels deflate trapping the two teams for hours, lights go out further hindering the rescue. Emotionally scarred both head coaches decide on a draw.
piratefan Posted August 6, 2006 Author Report Posted August 6, 2006 I dont think Lumberton has a tunnel... There cheerleaders still make the paper signs.....
Coach Mike Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 It looks like Lumberton and vidor have developed quite a nice rivalry. Its gonna be a good run. And yes, we will have a New tunnel this year because I just sent in the check for it on behalf of the Lumberton Raider Athletic Booster Club and a fantastic sponsor. P.S. I voted for Lumberton.
piratefan Posted August 6, 2006 Author Report Posted August 6, 2006 Whats up coach Mike?? Congrats on the Tunnel! I was wondering who gave L-Town that 13th vote... Vidor and Lumberton is kinda getting a little rivalry to it aren't they!
godogs Posted August 6, 2006 Report Posted August 6, 2006 as a team that'll beat both these squads.i must say vidor will beat lumberton
Footballblue Posted August 8, 2006 Report Posted August 8, 2006 New tunnel, New Logo and a New Winning Additude...snap on your helmets lets get ready to rumble.
83_Alumni Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 These Lumberton players have not lost since when? Give me the time frame.
tvc184 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 These Lumberton players have not lost since when? Give me the time frame. Since their last game.
Raider88 Posted August 10, 2006 Report Posted August 10, 2006 Lumberton will take this one!! New smoke run through or not!!
beaumontballer44 Posted August 11, 2006 Report Posted August 11, 2006 Speaking of which I was wondering...... :?: :?: Who holds the all time record for Vidor vs. Lumberton and what is the record?
