Scott Carnley wins Regional Tournament

Scott Carnley of Warren won the region III-2A boys singles event in Tyler today. Scott advances to the state tournament on May 5&6.

Congrats! Hey garsnare, is Austin Klores from Franklin still in high school? If so, the rut-roh! I saw the kid play last year and he is a heckuva player. He either went to A&M and is red-shirted or he signed with A&M and is still in HS. Do you know?

Congrats Scotty.No doubt who the best singles players was in Tyler.Austin is a Senior but I hear he has been hurt all year,don't know if he even played in the region-4 tourney this year.

Ya Austin Klores is senior this year and he signed with A&M.  He had been out for 4 months with a stress fracture in the back, but he played district and regionals.

Yeah, Klores is a beast. I have been telling people how good that kid is for 4 years. No one ever believes me, because they assume 2A tennis sucks. Klores would have won state in 4A and 5A the last 2 years, and I'm sure he will be the best player in any draw this year.
