Well, our Bears are in the post season by the slimmest of margins...

so this means I get a few more games to watch...

remembering that kid (mine) as a Miner, Power Ranger, Diamondback, Astro (a lot of times), a Longhorn, and then, finally, a Bear.

screaming my fool head off at every game I could get to...watching him pitch, play first base, outfield, wherever, whatever.  Sometimes, I was coaching and yelling...but never at blue... ;D

dealing with silly parents as a league official, because I knew that if I didn't do it, there might be some kids who had nowhere else to go, but really, doing it because my son loved the game, and, even though I never played, so did I.

watching elation and disappointment, sometimes at the very same game.

doing dog "yelping" sounds when we played our Nederland friends, since they had a "dog bark", and my "bear growl" sounded more like Yoda with a hangover...

going to Friday games during Lent...wishing Domino's had a fish pizza...lol...lotta love Randy and Cathy, lotta love... :D

our "dancin' mommas" tradition at LC-M...you go ladies!

hoping out boys would make the playoffs...and when they did, hoping for one more game...or one more series...

that kid has decided that his 12th year of baseball will be his last...so I hope that whatever the outcome, this will be a cherished memory...

so...1 deep, or all the way to state...it'll be up to the boys...and I will be there...cheerin' and yellin'

thanks for the memories folks...

Great post, kind of gives you a lump in your throat thinking about it that way.  You are the example every fan and parent should try to set for kids that love the game of baseball.  I know you don't want to think this far ahead, but keep smiling, one of these days, you'll get to watch the grandkids start the cycle all over again! ;D

Great group of not just players but young men right there.

I enjoyed covering them all.

Good season LCM and be proud of what you accomplished.
