I think this is a sad loss for the mavs and honestly what talent did he have to work with besides nowitzky he (Nowitzky) was the only really good player. Jason Kidd WAS WAS WAS a star but he's old and tired and did very little to help the cause.

The talent was there.  You forgot about Josh Howard?  If I'm not mistaken, he was an allstar.  I guess it's evident that Avery Johnson took all of Don Nelson's old talent when he was in Dallas.

When?  Over who?  Never!!!  He is not an allstar!  Tracey McGrady, Kobe Bryant, Carmelo Anthony, Kevin Garnett, Shawne Marion, Dirk Nowisnki, and AK-47 all play his position and he has never been picked over any one of those guys.  He had a good team but not good enough to win it and they gave him less when they traded for Kidd.  He never had a true post or point.  When he got a point he lost whet post he did have and lost his bench!

Avery will succeed where ever he goes!
