cleanup13 Posted April 30, 2008 Report Share Posted April 30, 2008 Jon Carnahan from PNG has been chosen to receive one of the four $1,500 scholarships awarded to area students. Jon joins Will Partain, from Westbrook High School as the two baseball receipients. Jon and Will both played on Team USA last summer in the Netherlands and brought home the gold medal. Jon is graduating in the top 25% of his class and has been an A/B Honor Roll Student for 12 years. Jon will continue his education and baseball career at Marion Military Institute, a junior college in Marion Alabama. Jon hopes to continue his education and career after Marion in the field of engineering. Jon is the son of John and Karen Carnahan and brother of Tara Gay.
