setxguru Posted May 6, 2008 Report Posted May 6, 2008 Here are some interesting numbers that I got from Maxpreps. Eight of our local football powerhouses scoring per year, and some of these numbers are very surprising. This is scoring points per game by each of these teams. A movement of 4 or more points one way or another is big move. Dayton 28.5(04) 36.2(05) 30.3(06) 32.7(07) Central 10.6(04) 22.8(05) 30.8(06) 18.3(07) Jasper 29.3(04) 32.3(05) 10.8(06) 32.8(07) Newton 34.8(04) 44.8(05) 34.7(06) 36.8(07) East Chambers 31.5(04) 21.2(05) 37.5(06) 34.7(07) WOS 35.4(04) 37.8(05) 38.2(06) 33.8(07) WB 15.3(04) 31.6(05) 37.3(06) 35.7(07) Nederland 33.6(04) 28.2(05) 30.3(06) 24.2(07) The Highest I have found thus far is Newton 44.6 in 2005, WOS 38.2 in 2006, and WOS 37.8 in 2005.
wos4ever Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 I am very impressed with the numbers newton has put up. I never would have suspected such high scoring from them. I am also confident that the Mustangs scoring will pick back up this year from what it was the in 2004,2005, and 2006. Good Luck Mustangs!!
southern-thunder Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 I would like to see Alto's output over those years I know that in 06 they averaged some where between 50 and 60 per game.
wos4ever Posted May 7, 2008 Report Posted May 7, 2008 I also think that Alto has one of the largest margins of victory over the last two years of anyone else I can recall.
setxguru Posted May 7, 2008 Author Report Posted May 7, 2008 Here a some statewide powerhouses scoring averages since 2004: Alto 26.4(04) 28.2(05) 53.1(06) 44.4(07) SLC 45.1(04) 47.8(05) 44.3(06) 44.5(07) Katy 31.7(04) 38.1(05) 33.2(06) 43.8(07)
