I know I haven't posted on this board in a while and especially have been quiet on this topic but what do you guys think of this stadium?

It is similiar to what we now have except for the bowl effect which could be put into Lamar's Stadium quite nicely.  I can imagine the seating to be perfect for our football atmosphere here in SETX.  The colors are great and I get goose bumps just thinking about it.

I have also included the new expansion project for this stadium to show our community what a $100 Million would get us today.

This stadium cost $30 Million to build in 1994.

I for one cannot wait for football to come back.  I was 15 when the last game was held here and I remember going to games with my cousin as he was a senior at Lamar and I loved it.  Have faith fellow football fans.  We are ready for this and will have plenty of fans going.

Here are the photos and the links to the website.  I can't figure out how you guys paste the photos into the actual post and if COOP or one of the other moderators don't mind maybe they can edit this post and do it for me. Thanks.

A new discussion begins.

this was only $30 million?!

Current stadium for Rutgers (1st Picture) was built in 1994 for $30 Million

Proposed project (2nd Picture) is $100 Million

Just gives you an idea that for $30 million or so we could expand our stadium to the likes or similiar to Rutgers current stadium.

I do not think ANYONE would have a problem with that stadium.  Would bring the house down in my opinion.

See Ya

The $102 million they are spending on their stadium now is for 968 loge and club seats ($72 million) and 12,000 end zone seats ($30 million).  So in 1994 they build their 42K seat stadium for $30 million and now they are spending $30 million more just for 12K more end zone seats.

Unfortunately that's why I don't Lamar will be bowling Cardinal Stadium this go around.  If Lamar hadn't built the Montagne Center back in the 1980's I doubt they could get a similar arena built on campus today because of the cost.
