Dont want to jinx Kirkland's Hawks, but Giddings is not very good. They play at an absolute launching pad so they are hitting based every year. Their pitching is fair at best and defense is a C-. If you go 2 out of 3 and play a couple of solid games, you advance past them. Again, I hate saying they are not good cause you could look ahead of them but, they are not good.

I think this is going to be a great series..I have watched both this year and as far as I can tell they are about evenly matched. Cant wait to see this one!

First of all Congrats to H-J on the win over a tough Sweeny team!  Giddings tied for 2nd with Caldwell in their District race. They went 6-4, 19-8-1 in District.  They lost big at times such as 12-0 to Hutto, etc:

H-J gets this one easier than the Sweeny games.  Good chance H-J will face the winner of the BC vs Jasper games on down the line.

unlucky for the hawks... i think every series should be a three game series so that the best team has a little more of an advantage.  If HJ's hitting and pitching stays hot, they should be fine though.
