Should Boutte even CONSIDER an offer from Lamar?

Should Boutte leave to start a college career at Lamar? I say no...I have my reasons, but I want to know what you guys think..Don't get me wrong, I think that Boutte would do well on the next level, and it would be a great stepping stone for him, I just don't think Lamar is the right fit right now...what do you guys think?

Nope, he needs to stay at Ozen. I've heard a few things to make me change my mind about him at Lamar. LU needs to improve their imagine after the recent penalty by the NCAA of losing 2 scholarships.

What were the circumstances behind losing the 2 ships?  Who was really at fault?  Just curious, because I haven't heard why they were lost.

Basically, the penalty has to do with graduation rates. Lamar was hurt by a couple transfers out of the program, Alan Daniels and James Davis who failed to graduate.

I think he needs to get into a situation where he is being groomed for the job, and not being lost with other ass't coaches and never herad of again.

This board is too secretive.  If you know something, then come out with it.  Some of you are insinuating that something is going down with Lamar basketball.  Are you saying that Roc is on the hot seat?  Or are you saying that Boutte will get a better offer from somewhere else?  What exactly is being talked about here?

Roc is certainly not on the hot seat...now.  I am just saying that he will probably wait for what he really wants, thats all...Its all about timing in this business.

To me, it's not an easy adjustment running your own show and then settling for a position as an ass't. coach. Now the best 'timing" would be for Boutee to suck up...err I meant buddy up with a head coach or AD and get into a system knowing the coach would retire within 2-3 years.
