TexasTerror Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 mens track will improve greatly when the football players hit campus. Are you so sure? How many SLC athletes this year were also on men's football teams? I do not think it will make for your team to "improve greatly" per say as there's several factors involved in that situation. SHSU had a few in the past, but those numbers have diminished to some degree. We did get two or three SLC titles out of a VB player though...
Guest coachacola Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Lamar has one of the smallest men's track team in the SLC (or so they did last year), so it makes it harder to compete.
Guest abovetherim Posted May 13, 2008 Report Posted May 13, 2008 Well, it may not be of great benefit to have football players run track at Lamar but it certainly would not hurt.
