bushpilot Posted May 14, 2008 Report Posted May 14, 2008 Congratulations to Hardin's Nolan and Marsh being selected to play in Hawaii in June.
bushpilot Posted May 14, 2008 Author Report Posted May 14, 2008 It's not often we get two players from the same school in our area selected to the All-State team and a chance to play in a game like this. Great job guys!!!!
bushpilot Posted May 15, 2008 Author Report Posted May 15, 2008 Nolan is going to Milsaps in Jackson, MS to play for former Alabama coach Mike Dubois, I believe Marsh is going to Blinn.
NedDog Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Congrats to both of them! The memories from that trip will last a lifetime.
football Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Are they planning any fundraisers to help pay for the trip?
bushpilot Posted May 15, 2008 Author Report Posted May 15, 2008 They've done a few fundraiser type things, but mostly help from family and friends and the community.
AJ25 Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 this isn't that all-star game that everyone and their mom gets invited to right? the one that i believe is put on by Blinn? cause a LOT of ppl get invited to play in that game.
footballfan5261 Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 what is the name of the all-star game?? Kountze sent three to Hawaii last year.
AJ25 Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 i'm not sure. but its not so much about talent, its a big money thing. cause it is very expensive.
Hupernikomen Posted May 18, 2008 Report Posted May 18, 2008 either way it will be a great experience.
bushpilot Posted May 19, 2008 Author Report Posted May 19, 2008 Some people in this area just can't stand for Hardin or kids from Hardin to succeed at anything. Why bring any negativity to this topic? Is it jealousy? Hardin has been losing for years and now we don't accept it anymore, we want to win and demand it. Two kids from one school, both on the all-state team, both going to Hawaii to play. How many schools in Southeast Texas can match that?

Is it jealousy? Hardin has been losing for years and now we don't accept it anymore, we want to win and demand it. Two kids from one school, both on the all-state team, both going to Hawaii to play. How many schools in Southeast Texas can match that? this is great for those kids and that community. Nolan and Marsh will be talking about this at their High School reunions for the next 50 years.
Htexans90 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 I was told by a friend at work that LCM's Eric Blem will be going as well
AJ25 Posted May 19, 2008 Report Posted May 19, 2008 its by no means negativity. obviously they're something good if the coaches at blinn got ahold of their names. (if it even is that same game). i'm just saying, if it is, most ppl usually dont go because of the price. but yes, it will be a great experiance regardless!
hdbasketballstar Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 I really dont understand why either one of these kids are going to play. There not even worth it. Must be from east chambers. this isn't that all-star game that everyone and their mom gets invited to right? the one that i believe is put on by Blinn? cause a LOT of ppl get invited to play in that game. Yeah all 30 people in the state. Not all people will go because of the price, so it will end up about 19 or 20 people from texas.
KFDM COOP Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 Easy fellows!! Player Bashing will NOT be tolerated!!
AJ25 Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 i'm not bashing at all! i'm just trying to figure out what game it is..
KFDM COOP Posted May 20, 2008 Report Posted May 20, 2008 8) oh i know...i had to delete some posts earlier from other folks.
setxathlete14 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 yeah everyone gets invited pretty much its just who pays the money that goes. 2 years ago our 2nd string corner got invited to that game....it was like 2500 dollars
Wes57 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Some people in this area just can't stand for Hardin or kids from Hardin to succeed at anything. Why bring any negativity to this topic? Is it jealousy? Hardin has been losing for years and now we don't accept it anymore, we want to win and demand it. Two kids from one school, both on the all-state team, both going to Hawaii to play. How many schools in Southeast Texas can match that? This is pretty accurate. Both of these players are deserving of this honor. Hardin has had its share of bad teams in the past and now they seem to have turned it around so let them enjoy their time in the sun. 8)
Htexans90 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 regardless of cost, not everyone is invited and it will still be a valuable exposure, especially since Ray Woodard (Lamar's new coach) will be coaching team south texas
BACK IN THE DAY Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 this isn't that all-star game that everyone and their mom gets invited to right? the one that i believe is put on by Blinn? cause a LOT of ppl get invited to play in that game. The Stelly kid got an invite but decided not worth paying that much money to play.
hdbasketballstar Posted June 6, 2008 Report Posted June 6, 2008 This game is for seniors only. Stelly may have gotten invited to another game, but not the same one.
