Hardin's Nolan and Marsh going to Hawaii to play in All-Star Game

where are they going to college?

Nolan is going to Milsaps in Jackson, MS to play for former Alabama coach Mike Dubois, I believe Marsh is going to Blinn.

Are they planning any fundraisers to help pay for the trip?

They've done a few fundraiser type things, but mostly help from family and friends and the community.

this isn't that all-star game that everyone and their mom gets invited to right? the one that i believe is put on by Blinn? cause a LOT of ppl get invited to play in that game.

i'm not sure. but its not so much about talent, its a big money thing. cause it is very expensive.

Some people in  this area just can't stand for Hardin or kids from Hardin to succeed at anything. Why bring any negativity to this topic? Is it jealousy? Hardin has been losing for years and now we don't accept it anymore, we want to win and demand it. Two kids from one school, both on the all-state team, both going to Hawaii to play. How many schools in Southeast Texas can match that?

this is great for those kids and that community. Nolan and Marsh will be talking about this at their High School reunions for the next 50 years.

its by no means negativity. obviously they're something good if the coaches at blinn got ahold of their names. (if it even is that same game). i'm just saying, if it is, most ppl usually dont go because of the price. but yes, it will be a great experiance regardless!

Yeah all 30 people in the state. Not all people will go because of the price, so it will end up about 19 or 20 people from texas.

yeah everyone gets invited pretty much its just who pays the money that goes. 2 years ago our 2nd string corner got invited to that game....it was like 2500 dollars

This is pretty accurate. Both of these players are deserving of this honor. Hardin has had its share of bad teams in the past and now they seem to have turned it around so let them enjoy their time in the sun. 8)

regardless of cost, not everyone is invited and it will still be a valuable exposure, especially since Ray Woodard (Lamar's new coach) will be coaching team south texas

The Stelly kid got an invite but decided not worth paying that much money to play.

This game is for seniors only. Stelly may have gotten invited to another game, but not the same one.
