Hupernikomen Posted May 24, 2008 Report Posted May 24, 2008 Looks like the Hornets gave those big schools a run for their money.

Sterling is horrible, but they played Klein a very close game and the Friends in the Wood was respectable as well.

Hey I like Hardin bc Coach Haynes is a heck of a Coach and their QB Dickey is studly.
bushpilot Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Hardin looked very good in this tournament and gained a lot of respect from these 5A schools. They went against some D1 quarterbacks. Hardin has as good a chance as anybody coming away with a state champioship in College Station. Good luck Hornets!! Don't let these idiots on here discourage you, someone always seems to find something to bad mouth you about. Keep on winning, we're all proud of you.

No doubt about the D-1 QB statement, Friendswood has one in Jacob Karam. He is getting a lot of looks from D-1 schools like Houston, Arizona, Mizzou, Rice and Stanford, based on scout.com. Any school would be glad to have him and for Hardin to score 25 on a 5A school with a big time talent at QB is impressive (even though it was a loss.) Klein has one in Jamie Peebles, who has garnered a lot of interest (he is only a soph) from schools like Houston, UT and others.
The Old Ball Coach Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 Man it is nice how they have it set up now with big school and small school at the state championship. You have to really wonder how CELINA WON IT ALL WHEN THEY WERE IN 2a and beat all those 4a and 5a school in 2003 when all school competed against each other because they had all classifications playing together.
BACK IN THE DAY Posted May 29, 2008 Report Posted May 29, 2008 Looks like the Hornets gave those big schools a run for their money. [/quHote]Hornets beat Kline if the bonehead refs make calls right they were cheated out of a down driving as time ran out. Interception in the endzone not called. Multiple bad calls. Played Friendswood pretty good game after starting out slow.
Go-rilla Posted May 30, 2008 Report Posted May 30, 2008 When does H-town play the prairie longhorns?? How did they do in the Hardin 7 on 7 tourn???
