tiger Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 This is shaping up to be one of the most exciting district races in quite some time. Honestly, there are 4 teams that have a realistic shot at winning this thing. Silsbee did catch a break by getting BC, Jasper, and WOS all at home. If Silsbee and WOS are sitting at 3-0 in district play, their game will be PACKED on Oct 20. I can't wait!
kicker Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I dont know, I'd say more like 5 having a shot at it. Jasper WOS Silsbee Kirbyville BC When I played in 98, we had a super 4A district also. Only in SETX.
tiger Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I give respect to Kirbyville, but they just aren't of the same caliber as those other 4, mainly due to enrollment. They have had a nice run, but from what I hear, they have lost alot of talent. I would be shocked to see them finish in the top 3.
SilsbeeD Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 im afraid kville has no shot at winning district...sry guys yall just lost way too much in all the key positions
Hupernikomen Posted August 3, 2006 Report Posted August 3, 2006 I would agree with Kirbyville being a long shot, but they have been fielded some good teams the last few years. Their skill players have been as good as most but seem to lack in size. Will be a great job by all if Kirbyville can make it to the playoffs this year.
KFDM COOP Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 They have great Athletes every year. They could surprise some folks thats for sure.
Tiger90 Posted August 4, 2006 Report Posted August 4, 2006 McGallion said. "I know WO-S is loaded with skilled athletes but I think there are three teams that could contend to win this district. Wonder who they are. Coach usually downplays his squad. I believe I have only ever heard him say "we'll be alright".
SHS-84 Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 K-ville will surprize some teams this year. I would'nt count them out so quickly. I think 2006 is a year for some big upsets and new rivalries to be formed. There are no sure things in 2006.
Guest bulldogbark Posted August 5, 2006 Report Posted August 5, 2006 let see if I can say this without sounded to mean or to excited......Hrummmph,,,,,, I hope Kirbyville gets whooooooped every game they get into this year......thats all , thank you for your patience.
Tiger90 Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 I can go along with that sentiment. I never had a problem with Kirbyville until the antics of a coach 2 years ago in the Silsbee game. Extremely unsportsmanlike. I have never seen the DPS and local law enforcement have to walk out to mid field and all but threaten a coach to settle down.
kicker Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Well, K'ville could be a spoiler this year!
Guest bulldogbark Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 well tiger90 you hit the nail right on the head....I dont blame any of my disgust with the kids....the blame lays at higher levels ...you have to be sportsmanlike in order to teach sportmanship.
Tiger90 Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 Not to stir up anything but it looks like my post was "modified". If I can not write a coach's name out here when he publicly was unsportsmanlike then I will say he was not "a coach" but the head coach.
Guest bulldogbark Posted August 7, 2006 Report Posted August 7, 2006 yeah we dont want any names,,,,Just dont want to start that type of forum :?
